JOURNALIST GIVES MAJOR UPDATE ON MO SALAH TO SAUDI PRO LEAGUE TRANSFER SAGA

Liverpool’s star player, Mohamed Salah, could be the focus of heightened interest from the Saudi Pro League, specifically Al Hilal, during the 2024 summer transfer window at Anfield, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

Despite Jurgen Klopp avoiding discussions about the potential departure of the influential forward, rumours are expected to resurface in the coming weeks.

Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Salah has become a club legend, winning numerous major trophies, including the Champions League, Premier League, Club World Cup, FA Cup, Super Cup, Carabao Cup, and Community Shield.

However, the 31-year-old may find the substantial financial offerings from some of Saudi Arabia’s affluent clubs tempting in 2024.

During the 2023 summer transfer window, Al-Ittihad attempted to lure Salah to the Middle East with an initial £150 million offer, which was rejected by Liverpool (via dailymail.co.uk).

There were indications that the deal could have been raised to £215 million. Klopp, when asked about Salah’s potential move during the winter transfer window, remained tight-lipped.

Despite the speculation surrounding his future, Salah has maintained exceptional performances, contributing to 20 goals in 20 appearances before Liverpool’s December 6th match against Sheffield United.

Jacobs indicates that a move to Al Hilal is a possibility for Salah, as the Saudi Pro League leaders have had the forward on their radar for some time.

Liverpool, according to Jacobs, are prepared for various outcomes and remains calm amid the increasing speculation (reports via GIVEMESPORT).

“I’m told that Al Hilal is also a possibility, and they have always had Salah on their list. It went one Messi, but they didn’t get him, and two Neymar, but unfortunately, he got injured, and Salah was third on the Al Hilal list. So, by the time we get to next summer, the Saudis may return for Salah, but the club may have changed. It’s too early to tell because people like to talk about Liverpool as if, somehow, they’re in crisis, which is far from the truth. After all, Liverpool always have a plan. Liverpool are always planning multiple windows and are always calm about the situation.”
