Klopp has clarified what his initial plans are after leaving Liverpool in recent years. Jurgen Klopp has not been shy about talking about the future in recent years before announcing his surprise move away from Liverpool on Friday.
The 56-year-old said he would never make it in England and would take an uncertain step into the game if United pulled out of the competition this summer.
Klopp cited energy levels as the reason for leaving after eight-and-a-half years in charge. With the understanding of the fans and the respect of the entire football world, he presents himself as a club legend.
Apart from another employment position in England, it is unclear what Klopp will do next. There has been talk of a potential place at Barcelona and even the German national team, but Klopp has made his intentions clear when deciding on his next move.
He explained in a 2020 interview with German publication Sportbuzzer: “After taking a year off, I wonder if I miss football. If I say no, it would mean the end of Jurgen Klopp. “If I don’t become a coach one day, there’s one thing I’ll never forget: the brutal tension before a game.
“A month later, he told Einfach Fussbal: “If I leave Liverpool, I won’t be able to get a new job the next day. It is inevitable. “I plan to take about a year off after Liverpool. Earlier that year, and ahead of an extension until 2022, he spent a further four years with SWR Sport at Anfield until 2024, before returning to Germany.
Klopp played 465 games for Liverpool and traveled hundreds of thousands of kilometers during that time. So his decision to step down due to the risk of burnout may not be surprising, especially given his comments in 2019.
“There’s a problem. I can’t do ‘little’. “I can only do all or nothing,” he said. “If I decide I can’t do it anymore, I’ll take a year off. “Two years later, he revealed what his ideal plans are after leaving. “If you look at the world, it’s simple,” he said of Enfield.
There is no time. I was a young father and a casual gamer. That meant I had no time or money to see the world. Then I became a manager, but I had absolutely no time but some money.
Klopp understands the transfer plans will come as a shock to Liverpool fans but insists it is time to end his career at the club with a trophy. In a speech last week, he explained the reasons for his decision. “It’s not what I wanted to do, but I think it’s 100 percent what needs to be done, “he said.
“Let’s make the most of this season and have something else to smile about as we look to the future.”
