Jurgen Klopp names latest Liverpool left-back as Kostas Tsimikas benched and midfielder absent

 

Jurgen Klopp has named Liverpool’s squad for today’s Premier League trip to Luton Town (16.30 GMT).

The Reds made just one change after beating Nottingham Forest last weekend. Ironically, Kostas Tsmickas was replaced despite being the only senior left-back on the bench after Andy Roberts picked up an injury.

Jurgen Klopp preferred Joe Gomez at full back. Moreover, this team easily won against “Forest”. Earlier this week, Klopp made big changes in his side’s 2-1 Carabao Cup win over Bournemouth.

Meanwhile, Luis Diaz sits on a bench after returning from Colombia after kidnapping his parents. However, Curtis Jones will not return to the matchday squad despite serving a three-match Premier League ban.

He missed training on Friday while playing for Bournemouth. Should Liverpool beat Luton, they would move to one point behind leaders Manchester City.
