Beck impressed so much in Scotland that The Times reported that Liverpool had rejected a permanent transfer offer from Celtic and a loan offer from Rangers.
The 21-year-old is likely to get plenty of first-team opportunities at Anfield in the coming weeks as Gomez cannot be expected to play every game. Luke Chambers and Calum Scanlon have both played in the Europa League, but Beck has more experience at the top level and is slightly older. At this point, Beck is a better candidate for the big game ahead.
