The 2024-25 regular season came to an end on Saturday for the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team. In their final game, they got a big win on the road against a ranked Missouri team that has been very good this year.
The Wildcats ended the season with a two-game winning streak, and looked very good in both wins. So, how did that affect their standing in the KenPom rankings? They made a big leap forward, nearly into the top ten.
Not long ago, Kentucky had dropped down into the 20s in the KenPom, but after the Missouri win, they’ve moved all the way up to 11th with a +25.57 adjusted efficiency margin.
Offensively, they’ve been one of the nation’s best teams in terms of scoring this season. Their 125.5 adjusted offensive efficiency is sixth overall.
On the other side of the ball, they’ve struggled. However, they’ve climbed to 55th overall in adjusted defensive efficiency with a 99.9rating.
