Jurgen Klopp is hailed as a sensational manager with Liverpool agreeing a landmark deal that fans will love
Liverpool have struck a ‘box-office’ deal to film a documentary series around Jurgen Klopp’s final months in charge of the club.
That is the view of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who spoke exclusively to Football Insider about Liverpool’s decision to monetise Klopp’s Anfield exit.
As reported by the Daily Mail, Disney Plus are in advanced talks with Liverpool chiefs over a £10million documentary series.
Klopp announced last month that he will leave Liverpool at the end of the 2024-25 season after claiming that he is “running out of energy”.
The 56-year-old joined the Reds in 2015 and has lifted the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, Uefa Super Cup and Fifa Club World Cup during his time as manager.
Maguire praised the ‘genius’ of Klopp as a manager and insists the documentary will ‘provide great viewing for fans’.
“Jurgen Klopp is smart, funny, charismatic and understands Liverpool like few others do,” Maguire told Football Insider’s Sean Fisher.
“To become an honorary scouser is something which is bestowed on very few people who come to the city.
“But his humanity and his genius as a coach has allowed him to achieve that honour.
“The box-office deal struck by the club for the documentary will provide great viewing for fans.
“I suspect there won’t be a dry eye in the house during Klopp’s final few moments.“
