Kostas Tsimikas will be looking to capitalize on the energy he felt at Anfield when they visit Premier League side Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds have taken 20 points from their first nine games of the season, including four at home. Jurgen Klopp’s side returned from the international break and enjoyed Merseyside derby success against Everton and Toulouse in the Europa League before returning to L4 for their third game at Anfield in eight days in all competitions.
Tsimikas will be hoping the Reds can maintain that momentum when they face Steve Cooper’s Forest opposition this weekend. “It will be difficult for us because every game in the Premier League is very difficult.” The left-back told Premier League Productions ahead of the game.“But I think everyone is 100% focused on this game. We work hard every day for this game.
“I think it will be very difficult, but the team will be 100% there, 100% focused and 100% ready to win this challenge.”Liverpool lost 5-1 at Toulouse on Thursday night, ending a remarkable run of seven home wins in all competitions in the 2023/24 season. When Forest traveled to Anfield last season, the Reds were coming off a thrilling five-goal encounter.
Tsimikas was asked what is the basis of the team’s strength at home.
The Number 21 said: “Thanks to the fans, I get more motivated every time I play.” “Everybody is themselves and they always try to push you and give you as much effort as the game demands and I think that’s the most important thing.
“As a player, I always feel that in home games when I play here [at Anfield]. There’s more power in the game, more running ability, more demands. So I think that’s the most important thing.”
