The Los Angeles Lakers star did not feature in the NBA All-Star game for the first time in years. Now he’s spoken out.
Even for LeBron James there are still career firsts. The Los Angeles Lakers star and NBA legend sat out the All-Star game over the weekend due to a lingering discomfort in his left foot and ankle.
The absence of the 40-year-old was the first All-Star Game that he had missed in his entire career after being selected a starter for a record 21st straight year in 2025.
“I was hoping it would feel a lot better this morning, but it was not where I wanted it to be,” James said of his injury.
“With 30 games left and us trying to make a playoff push in the wild, wild West, I felt like it was very important for me to kind of take care of myself and understand what’s coming on [down the stretch],” he added.
