LFC Foundation is supporting the launch of a ‘True Legacy’ workshop to teach students about the Hillsborough disaster.

The LFC Foundation successfully supported the launch of a ‘Legacy of Reality’ workshop which taught primary school children about what happened before, during and after the Hillsborough disaster.

The educational event for Year 5 and 6 children was organized and led by local Labor councilor Ian Byrne, independent Hillsborough panellist Phil Scruton and long-time Hillsborough campaigners. Over the course of the day, over 20 local primary schools and 280 school children attended the workshop, exploring special Hillsborough exhibitions curated by LFC Museum Curator Stephen Done and learning more about the event before taking part in interactive sessions. .

For social justice. This is the first workshop that the LFC Foundation has organized on this topic and we plan to organize similar events this academic year, with local schools having the opportunity to deliver sessions directly to their students through special assemblies.

The long-term plan is to include it as part of the national curriculum in primary schools, something Berna has been pushing for since launching the Reality Legacy project two years ago..

Speaking at the event, he said: “It’s a proud and humbling moment for us to be here with the True Truth Legacy project and to see it brilliantly delivered by the LFC Foundation team that created it. excellent. “We saw the prosperity of tragedy and still had a lot of misunderstandings about Hillsboro, so I just wanted to go out and memorize the country.”

I couldn’t be proud of the soccer club, the LFC fund and everything you took, and when you entered the display, when you entered the display, I want to say that it is one of the time when you enter it. The most emotional things I have seen and it is great.

“LFC’s Gemma Smith manager was a special day for everyone, with a special guest with us, and they looked at us. And they saw the people who participated in everywhere that seemed fantastic.

“I am confident this will stay with the children for the rest of their lives and I look forward to sharing this important workshop with more schools in the future.”
