LFC Round-Up: Salah has offer from Saudi Arabia and a fresh injury concern for LFC

It was a frustrating weekend but there is news to report as always about the Reds.

While last summer Liverpool resisted the overtures of the Saudi Pro League to secure the services of Salah, much to their credit, it feels like they will be sternly tested once again this summer.

While Salah has been in some of the best form of his Liverpool tenure this season, a recent rough patch has led some fans and media to ask if it might be time to cash in on the Egyptian while they still can.

He has 36 goals and assists from his 37 appearances this term so his overall contribution has been at a ridiculously high level.

However, as he prepares to enter the final year of his current contract and with Jurgen Klopp departing, it might be the best time to move him and it is reported there is a “guaranteed £70m fee” in it for the Reds.

Conor Bradley injury looking severe and could signal lengthy absence

The sight of seeing Trent Alexander-Arnold making his long awaited return for Liverpool was slightly subdued as it only came as the result of a nasty looking foot/ankle injury to his upstart deputy, Bradley.

Bradley is due for scans to determine the severity of the injury, but there is a fear within the club that he might have damaged some ankle ligaments.

If that is the case then his season would surely come to a premature end which would be brutally cruel for the lad and the club.

Alexander-Arnold returning helps a bit but could mean his adventure to the midfield is put on hold once again if Bradley cannot play again.

As a result of this, Liverpool have been credited with a transfer interest in a host of his Sporting players. This time, it’s 25-year old winger Marcus Edwards.

Edwards has been one of the Lisbon club’s best players and his creative talents would be most welcome at Anfield. Perhaps the biggest selling point is the easily handled release clause in his contract.

His age and skillset would normally warrant a fee closer to £50m but Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes could jump at this opportunity if all goes according to plan.
