Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Mohamed Salah, Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham are among the nominees for Best Men’s Player at the Globe Soccer Awards.

The award will be decided by an online fan vote and a jury of 30 “key football industry figures”, including Roma legend Francesco Totti, World Cup winning goalkeeper Iker Casillas and Champions League winning managing Marcello Lippi.

Karim Benzema won last year’s award and he is among the 30 nominees this year. Haaland’s Manchester City teammates Julian Alvarez, Kevin De Bruyne, Ruben Dias, Ederson, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Rodri and Bernardo Silva are also nominated after their historic treble win last season, along with Ilkay Gundogan who left to join Barcelona over the summer.
