Liverpool 2-0 Everton: Analysis of ‘impressive’ Harvey Elliott and Trent Alexander-Arnold
Neil Mellor highlighted Harvey Elliott’s performance as he came off the bench to play a key role in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Everton at Anfield.
The former Manchester United player analyzed how Jurgen Klopp’s side finally dismantled the Blues during the post-match review show.
“Harvey made a really good international breakthrough coming out of the England reserves, captaining the team and making a huge impact when he came out of the reserves,” Mellor said.”Harvey is obviously a Liverpool fan and knows what this game means to the fans.
“He looked very bright and sharp, wanted to socialize and was very neat and tidy.“I thought Harvey and Darwin Nunes had a big impact when they came out. “He almost scored but was unlucky and forced a really good save to put in a good effort but put the ball in the back of the net.”Mellor had a special word for vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold, who had more touches than any other player in the Merseyside derby.
He added: “Trent was very stylish and saw things that no one else could see. “He really makes an impact when he has the ball at his feet.” Alexander Arnold
