Liverpool face a number of injury threats ahead of their crucial game against Manchester City.

 

Liverpool have suffered injuries ahead of the match against Brentford, with Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez ruled out.

There are concerns about the physical strength of captains Virgil van Dijk and Ryan Gravenburch ahead of the match against the international match.

Van Dijk, who missed the midweek Europa League match through illness, was in top form as Liverpool beat Brentford 3-0. But Gravenberch could not play.

With Alexis McAllister suspended for one match and Curtis Jones, Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Veicetic all injured, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has limited options in midfield.

This sees him replace 16-year-old Trey Nyoni, who was making his first appearance since joining from Leicester City last summer. As well as the midfield issues, Klopp has also had to deal with defensive issues, with Konate and Gomes joining Andy Robertson.

Konate has been left out of France’s squad for games against Gibraltar and Greece this month due to injury, with Chelsea’s Axel Disassi replacing him. The official diagnoses for the injuries of Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez have not yet been announced.

Alexis McAllister returns to the Etihad for the top-flight clash with Manchester City on November 25. However, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp still has some fitness issues to deal with, According to report.
