There has been a lot of attention on the form of Darwin Núñez recently. The Uruguayan has become a really efficient forward for his club and his country in the last few months and he is averaging a goal contribution rate better than Erling Haaland on a per minutes basis.
But it’s not just Núñez who is beating Haaland in this metric at Liverpool this season. Cody Gakpo is currently bettering the Manchester City forward since the September international break, and he has gone a little bit under the radar in Núñez’s shadow.
