Jurgen Klopp wants to strengthen his squad in the January transfer window.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is looking to strengthen his squad in January and the Reds are said to be in contact with a key rival target.
In the summer, Liverpool boss Klopp was expected to make some sort of rebuilding effort to get his side back in the Premier League title race after a disappointing 2022/23 season.
Alexis McAllister, Dominic Szoboslai, Ryan Gravenburch and Wataru Endo came on in the second half to inject new energy into Liverpool’s engine room and provide excellent foils for the likes of Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jotta and Darwin.
By mid-November, Liverpool were effectively in contention for the title with Manchester City and Arsenal. They finished second in the English Premier League with 27 points from their first 12 games.
But the January signings will be crucial for Liverpool if they are to fulfill their dream of bringing a second Premier League title to Anfield since the division changed hands in 1992.
Fluminense midfielder Andre is a well-known target for Liverpool as Klopp looks to further strengthen his midfield. However, according to 90 Minutes, they will have to fight off competition from Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal to sign the Brazil international.
Bayern Munich superstar Alphonso Davies is also attracting attention from Anfield, the same newspaper reported. Liverpool bosses, along with future Chelsea and Manchester City officials, believe the Canada international is eyeing a successful move to La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Now, as the build-up to the injured Andy Robertson continues at Anfield, another target for the left-back has been revealed by a new report.

Liverpool have been linked with Ryan Aite-NouriReports in France claim Liverpool are interested in Wolverhampton Wanderers left-back Ryan Aitnouri and have made contact with the Algeria international over a possible move to Anfield.
However, Wolves are believed to be blocking any possibility of Aitnouri moving in the January transfer window. Aitnuri will take a break from club football in the new year, taking part in the Africa Cup of Nations with his native Algeria.
Matt Doherty and Ryan Ait-NouriDescribed by former Gary O’Neill journalist Tim Spiers as a “phenomenal” player, Ait-Nouri has been in fine form in the Premier League this season, averaging 2.5 tackles and 1.3 clearances per match. (Aite Nuri Statistics – WhoScored).
Liverpool currently only have Greek defender Kostas Tsimikas at left back and signing Ait-Nuri could be a smart move to give Klopp flexibility in his squad selection.
Despite this, Wolves look solid and signing the former Angers defender from the West Midlands club could be a difficult task.
