According to La Journal Du Centre, the striker intends to take over the club Championna National 2 Bourges Foote 18.
The deal will be announced today at a press conference at Bourges City Hall, with Manet already in contact with the mayor. Mane is said to be “pocketed” to recruit players from 13th-placed Bourges and said “sporting and social development projects will see the light of day in the region”.
Mane spent six years at Liverpool. The Senegal international, who joined from Southampton in 2016, scored 120 goals in 269 appearances and was a key figure in Jurgen Klopp’s side that won six major trophies, including the Champions League and Premier League.
Mane opted to join Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022 but has had a difficult season. He scored 12 goals in 38 games and was suspended and fined €500,000 after punching teammate Leroy Sane in the dressing room following the Champions League defeat to Manchester City.
