Liverpool make ‘direct contact’ after current club fail to meet demands for target.
Liverpool have reportedly made “direct contact” with Napoli star Victor Osimhen.
The update came via Italian outlet Calciomercato, who claimed that the Nigerian’s current wage demands have yet to be met by club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
The 24-year-old’s desire to double his wages from £3.9m to £7.8m is a major concern.
That equates to £150,000 a week for one of Europe’s most highly rated and prolific strikers. For a player who scored an impressive 36 goals (31 goals and 5 assists) in all competitions in 2022/23, this seems a fair ask, especially considering Osimhen will currently earn up to £10,000 pounds more a week than Darwin Nunes.
Earn money in Liverpool (according to Capology) on your terms! That doesn’t mean we’re unhappy with the Uruguayan forward.
Not at all! However, a reliable report from Fabrizio Romano suggests that Liverpool do not currently consider the Napoli player a serious transfer target.
