Liverpool 4-3 Fulham: Wataru Endo and Trent Alexander-Arnold scored twice in two minutes to help Jurgen Klopp’s title chasers secure a memorable win at Anfield
Late goals from Wataru Endo and Trent Alexander-Arnold sparked Liverpool’s famous comeback against Fulham on Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp’s men took the lead at Anfield through Alexander-Arnold before Harry Wilson equalized minutes later. Alexis McAllister restored Liverpool’s lead but Kenny Tete equalized at the break to make it 2-2.
Fulham thought they had secured a memorable win when Bobby De Cordova-Reid scored in the 80th minute. However, Endo and Alexander-Arnold found the back of the net and changed the game.
As a result, Liverpool are two points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal, while Fulham remain eight points clear of the relegation zone. Here are the highlights from an exciting afternoon at Anfield.
Searching for Salah
One of the main stories of Sunday’s game was Mohamed Salah’s attempt to score Liverpool’s 200th goal. Ian Rush (346), Roger Hunt (285), Gordon Hodgson (241) and Billy Riddell (228) are the only men at the club to have found the net more often.Salah thought he had his goal when Bernd Leno spilled Dominik Szoboslai’s long-range shot and allowed Luis Diaz to collect the ball.
He then collided with Salah, but replays showed Diaz was in an offside position.Time for a change? Bernd Leno has been cleared to play due to a head injury.Bernd Leno was unable to continue playing after suffering a head injury.

There was a controversial moment in the build-up to Salah’s disallowed goal… It has nothing to do with VAR. When Diaz asked for the ball from Leno, his knee hit the goalkeeper’s head. Leno had a bandaged head and needed a long treatment.
Despite the serious injury, Leno was able to continue playing. He was not substituted at half-time. The incident could reignite the debate over whether Premier League players should be allowed to continue playing after head injuries.
Wilson follows the Reds.
Harry Wilson refused to celebrate his goal. The game sprang to life in the 20th minute when Alexander-Arnold’s unstoppable free-kick hit Leno’s crossbar and into the net.
Former Liverpool star Stephen Warnock said in comments on BBC Radio 5 Live: “I mean, it’s an absolute offence.” Warnock has described Alexander-Arnold as “brilliant” and believes his free-kicks will be “one of the best” this season in the Premier League.
It’s hard to agree with the pundits, but Liverpool’s celebrations came to a screeching halt after a few minutes. That’s because the Wales international, who graduated from the Liverpool Youth Academy, finished off Anthony Robinson’s cross to equalise.
Inter refused to celebrate in front of the Kop, but it didn’t matter. The match was even.Mc Allister’s first goal for Liverpool was his best, hitting the ball into the top corner from around 25 yards. Speaking of accuracy.
Liverpool fans were keen to talk about Alexander-Arnold and McAllister’s stunning first-half goals, but Fulham had other ideas. The corner kick went to Tete who headed it past Caoimhin Kelleher.
Injured substitute Alisson managed to catch the ball. But it’s not enough. Desperate, he swerved to stop the ball as it crossed the line. Despite Liverpool’s surprise, Fulham were level at half-time.
Dramatic conclusion
Trent Alexander-Arnold’s late winner gave Liverpool a point. The activity continued after the break. Nunes, sporting a fresh braid, almost made it 3-2 when he hit the crossbar from about nine yards.
Moments later, Uruguay had another golden opportunity. Fulham took advantage of Nunez’s waste and managed to score within 10 minutes. Willian played the ball to Tom Cairney, who sent a cross into the six-yard box for De Córdoba-Reid to tap home.
It looked like this header was going to be the last part of a fantastic match. But it was a shocking ending. Endo converted the ball from the edge of the penalty area into the top corner to make it 3:3.
Alexander-Arnold’s winner was equally brilliant, smashing the ball inside the 18-yard box. It’s hard to remember four good goals scored by one team in a Premier League game. It is a great opportunity.
