Liverpool told £39million + £13million offer will make the deal – Report

 

Liverpool picked up another point against the newly promoted side, while Luton managed to capitalize on the Merseysiders’ defensive concerns.

The Red need to strengthen their foundation and have been linked with Portugal international Goncalo Inacio for some time.

According to AS (news photo below) via Diario de Noticias, Sporting signed a new contract for the defender this summer but are prepared to let him go in January.

Inacio currently has a €60m release clause in his contract with the Liga Nos giants, according to sources. However, they were willing to accept payment plans during the winter transfer window.

According to DN, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Real Madrid are among those interested in signing the Selecao star. It has been reported that the suitors could agree a deal with the Lions if they pay €45m (£39m), with the remaining €15m (£13m) in milestone payments.

Inacio is expected to make that decision soon and is likely to leave the Premier League side, where he currently leads the league, in the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old previously earned around €400,000 a year and later signed a contract worth €1 million a year.If he moves to one of the aforementioned teams midway through the season, he could receive a hefty salary.
