Liverpool head into the international break in a promising position in the Premier League, having returned to winning ways against Brentford. A 3-0 win at Anfield means the Reds are now Manchester City’s closest challengers in the early stages of the title race.
With Pep Guardiola’s side dropping two points at Chelsea, Liverpool is now just one point behind the defending champion.
