Liverpool’s start to the season has been excellent, and many of the club’s new signings have integrated nicely into the starting XI in the early months of the season. The midfield — which many argued should’ve been overhauled long before it was — lost some big players, but they also brought in some big players with years in their legs and with huge potential.
Alexis Mac Allister, fresh from winning the World Cup with Argentina and having a starring role for Brighton in the Premier League, is beginning to display the kind of form for Liverpool that earned him the move in the first place. Dominik Szoboszlai has added some much-needed dynamism in midfield, and Ryan Gravenberch, who had to bide his time to make his mark, is slowly showing why first Bayern Munich and now Liverpool decided to sign the player. In all, Jürgen Klopp can be happy with the development of his new recruits in midfield, but that hasn’t stopped Liverpool being linked with new signings for the January transfer window. The transfer rumor mill is a place that doesn’t sleep, and the club continues to be connected to new names, whether they make any feasible sense or not.
