Liverpool vs Arsenal 4-3-3 formation: Gravenbirch back but Jota and Mc Allister still out?

Liverpool drew 0-0 with Manchester United last weekend and had another close game with leaders Arsenal. The Anfield side are just one point behind Arsenal in the Premier League, so a home win on Saturday would see Klopp’s men climb the table. Liverpool are unbeaten in all competitions in their last 13 home games against Arsenal but have failed to beat the Gunners in their previous two meetings. The Reds duly responded to their midweek tie against Man United with a five-goal thrashing of West Ham United in the EFL Cup.

However, Arsenal are a completely different animal, but when Liverpool play at home, their fans will accept nothing less than a win. Jurgen Klopp will be putting his players on the line to get all three points, but realistically a draw wouldn’t be too bad for them.

Liverpool squad and injury news:
The likes of Thiago Alcantara, Andy Robertson and Joel Matip were ruled out due to various injuries, but Ryan Gravenburch returned to the matchday squad. The midfielder is recovering from a serious injury and was ruled out last week. So we expect him to be ready and fully fit for selection against Arsenal. “When he came off I thought something was wrong,” Klopp said of Ryan’s injury earlier this week. But he got a scan and it’s DOMS which just means fatigue so that’s good. He hopes to train today. Let’s see where he is.”Alexis McAllister remains sidelined with a knee injury and the South American will not be fit in time to face the Gunners.

The manager said, “I’m glad it’s pain-free. It wasn’t as good as I thought, but it’s making good progress. It is possible in the new year. McAllister’s absence will see Endo take his place in central midfield, with Szoboszlai and Gravenberch occupying more advanced roles. Mo Salah, Ibrahima Konate and Luis Diaz return to the starting line-up after coming off the bench against West Ham, but Diogo Jota remains out with a hamstring injury.

The forward has returned to individual training but is not expected to see him back in action until the New Year. “It’s getting closer and closer because Diogo has the ball on the pitch,” said the Liverpool manager. However, when it comes to joint injuries, you should always be careful. We say, “If he comes back, give him at least two or three days.”Cody Gakpo took charge during the week, but with the return of Salah and Diaz, Gakpo was back on the bench against Arsenal. Liverpool have predicted their line-up for the match against Arsenal.Predicted starting lineup (4-3-3): Alisson; Van Dyke, Konate, Tsimikas, TAA; Endo, Gravenberch, Szoboslay, Luis Diaz, Nunes, Mo Salah.
