Liverpool’s ‘object of desire’ recommended by agent to Real Madrid – Could be Bellingham all over again

Over the course of the summer, Liverpool needed some midfield reinforcements, and, funded by the money received from Saudi Arabia for the likes of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, managed to bolster adequately.

Players such as Wataru Endo, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch were brought in, but one man eluded Jürgen Klopp, and that was Khephren Thuram.

The OGC Nice star was widely linked with a move to Anfield and other Premier League clubs, but stayed in the south of France, where he continues to excel, which has led to him being recommended to Real Madrid by agent Oscar Damiani.

That’s what the man in question said to Gianluca Di Marzio in an interview, where he was asked about the Thuram brothers and whether a move to Italy would be good for the midfielder.

Asked if the Liverpool target would have a future at Juventus, he replied: “I don’t know. I would see him very well at Real Madrid. I recommended him to Carlo Ancelotti.”

Whether the La Liga side, with Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga already in their ranks, need Thuram remains to be seen, but the last thing Liverpool will want is a repeat of the Jude Bellingham saga.
Corriere dello Sport on Tuesday also have an article on the Nice player, where they look at Inter Milan’s and Juventus’ interest in him, mentioning the Reds as well.

They point out that he is the ‘object of desire’ of many clubs around Europe, ‘such as Liverpool’.

As for the price, this is where Klopp’s side might have the advantage, as it is ‘rapidly moving towards €40m, which is ‘high, very high’ for Italian teams.

That means that if a Premier League club, like Liverpool, ‘were to break the bank’, then it would be game over for them.
