Manchester united twice invited Red Devils and Liverpool to sign series 2.Hojlund (additional features, including 77 million pounds) and Núñez (85 million pounds. This pair has promise and is a real diamond. Hojlund and Nunez may still be good and mocking England’s early doubts, but the performances at Old Trafford and Anfield still leave a lot to be desired. Hojlund scored five goals in United’s Champions League campaign. But it has been more than four months since the domestic season began and the Dane is yet to open a Premier League account. Nunez’ on the other hand, stood out for his consistent finishing and ability to stay on the wing. The Uruguayan has scored just one goal for Liverpool since September 24.
Both players were out of form during Liverpool’s 0-0 draw with Manchester United last weekend. Hojlund squandered United’s only significant chance of the game and Núñez again struggled to put the score on target, picking up three offside cards. After that game, former Premier League winner Paul Ince urged United and Liverpool to explore the Italian market. Liverpool, Manchester United Osimhen and Martinez order coup Ince won two league titles with Manchester United between 1997 and 1999 before playing for Liverpool. The 53-year-old England international has urged the English giants to bring in Lautaro Martinez and Victor Osimhen to add a clinical edge to their forward line. Asked which of the Italian United and Liverpool players should be on trial, Ince (as quoted in the Manchester Evening News) said: The owners were a bit disorganized. “Darwin Núñez and Rasmus Hojlund are the two strikers who will start the clash between Manchester United and Liverpool, not clinical finishers like Martinez and Osimhen.”Osimhen has agreed to extend his contract with Napoli until 2026.
However, the new deal includes a release clause of more than 100 million euros.A signing would require a lot of money, but the existence of a clause could make the deal easier for clubs willing to pay. Osimhen scored 26 goals in Serie A last season, helping Napoli win their first league title since 1990. Martinez is expected to sign a new contract with Inter as well. The Argentine loves Inter and he and Osimhen are harder to sign than Martinez. Martinez has scored 15 goals in 16 games for Inter this season and are currently 4 points clear of Juventus at the top of Serie A. Ince has named another striker and midfield star that Manchester United should target.”Domenico Berardi (Sassuolo) will also be a big player in the Premier League,” said Ince.
Right now Manchester United don’t have strikers like Martial, Rashford or Hojlund!””If you want to seriously fight for trophies, you need a striker who can score at least 25 goals a season. “Rashford achieved this by scoring 30 goals last season as Manchester United qualified for the Champions League, which is where clinical goalscorers are important. “Nicolo Barella (Inter) seems to be a good fit. Man United need someone like him in midfield!”Manchester United are unlikely to sign any of the aforementioned players next month, but it could be a different story in the summer. Manchester United manager John Murtaugh has suggested his side will have a quiet January transfer window. However, some funding may be available in the summer of 2024 once Sir Jim Ratcliffe takes full ownership.
