Manchester United are tracking Benfica midfielder Joao Neves.

The 19-year-old has been a key player for Benfica this season and his performances have attracted interest from top clubs.

Scouts from Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal were in attendance at the midfielder’s win against Sporting CP this weekend, according to 90 Minutes.

Neves is highly regarded throughout Europe and has a great future ahead of him. Manchester United could certainly use some reinforcements in the middle and the 19-year-old would be a long-term investment.

The Red Devils lack depth in the center of the park and the question is whether they can agree a reasonable price with Benfica for the talented young midfielder.

The Portuguese side are likely to demand a premium for their prized prospect and it will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Meanwhile, Arsenal could also be looking to sign a quality midfielder, especially if Thomas Partey is set to leave the club in the coming months.

The 19-year-old has the potential to play for a top Premier League club and could be a long-term investment for the Gunners.
