Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool eyeing up move for promising Sheffield United youngster

According to the Daily Mail, Sheffield United are battling to retain the services of another promising prospect, Luke Paxson, as high-profile clubs including Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool have shown interest in the player.

According to reports, the Blades have offered Faxon new contract terms. However, there is strong interest from Premier League powerhouses such as Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool.

The teenager has featured regularly for the development squad and even featured in the under-21s’ 1-0 defeat to Barnsley last night. Iliman Ndiaye made a successful move to Marseille in the summer, while Daniel Javison, Will Ossula and Oliver Arblaster have impressed at various levels in recent times. Paxson is one of the young players that Sheffield United would like to keep.

The club recently signed new deals with Femi Seriki, Gili Buyabu and Antwoine Hackford before sending the trio out on loan. Sheffield United’s academy continues to stand out as a beacon of excellence within the club, with players such as Faxon catching the eye and consistently demonstrating quality.

Sheff United have a track record of producing top players and with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United attracting attention, Faxon looks set to be another success story going forward.
