The hapless Manchester United leave their fans bewildered and the new generation amazed that they are good players. In fact, United have failed to score in their last four trips to Anfield. This is the longest away match since the 1970s.They lost 3-1 at Anfield in their last game, which ended Jose Mourinho’s tenure as Manchester United manager until 2018, five years ago.
Another big loss and who knows? Erik Ten Haag’s days in the Red Devils dugout are over and it could perhaps be the final nail in the coffin for his reign at Old Trafford.
Recently, Manchester United is an important concern and does not seem to go to Liverpool at Anfield. The United States was 1-0 Tuesday and eventually abandoned the Champions League and completed the bottom of Group A. Last season Liverpool beat Manchester United 7-0 at Anfield. The next game against Liverpool on Merseyside couldn’t come at a worse time. It’s certainly not a happy hunting ground for United, who lost 7-0 in enemy territory last season. The Reds ran riot, resulting in United’s heaviest league defeat since December 1931. Another concern is the lack of goals scored by Erik ten Hag’s side against Jurgen Klopp’s men over the years.
More worryingly, United face Liverpool, led by Mohamed Salah, who scored his 200th goal for Liverpool in a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace.
