Manuel Neuer has hinted that Jurgen Klopp will eventually become Bayern Munich manager

Bayern legend Manuel Neuer believes Jurgen Klopp will be welcome home back to the Allianz Arena with open arms. The German will leave Liverpool at the end of the season, pulling off a surprise transfer announcement last week. Since then there has been much speculation about where Klopp’s next port of call will be.

Returning to his home country appears to be the most obvious route for Klopp, with the 56-year-old refusing to return to work in England. During a recent meeting with fans, Bayern captain Manuel Neuer responded to a question about whether Klopp could be appointed to the club. He believes Klopp would be a good choice to become Bayern Munich manager one day, but could see him become Germany manager.

“I think it depends on him (Klopp),” Neuer was quoted as saying by Bild. Luis Diaz could play a key role as Liverpool search for a replacement for Jurgen Klopp’s left-back.”I don’t think there is anything against Bayern because they are famous, they are a very good manager, experienced and tactically astute, they have a lot of respect from all footballers and sportsmen and they are definitely potential candidates.

He led giants Bayern to two Bundesliga titles before moving to Liverpool. Klopp has previously revealed that he rejected Bayern’s approach during his Anfield career. He said: “I could have been at Bayern many times and won more titles in my life. I’m sure it was at least a good opportunity. “I didn’t. I had a contract here [at Liverpool] but I never signed a contract.

It’s really okay. The world is not full of winners. The world is full of challenges. “I try to win with other people and sometimes I win. I’m happy about that. If we were all only happy when we won, what would life be like after your race?
