Mark Jones Thinks Zach LaVine Can Make This Kings Offense Even Better
The Sacramento Kings have been one of the most surprising teams in the NBA this season, with their high-powered offense leading the way. However, according to ESPN analyst Mark Jones, the Kings could be on the verge of getting even better.
Jones recently made the case that Zach LaVine, the talented shooting guard, would be a perfect fit for the Kings’ offense. “LaVine is a guy who can score from anywhere on the court,” Jones said. “He’s a great shooter, a great athlete, and he’s got the ability to create for himself and others.”
The Kings have been led by their dynamic duo of De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis, who have formed one of the most potent pick-and-roll combinations in the league. However, Jones believes that LaVine’s addition would take the Kings’ offense to new heights.
“Imagine LaVine playing alongside Fox and Sabonis,” Jones said. “You’d have three guys who can score, three guys who can create, and three guys who can make plays off the dribble. It would be a nightmare for opposing teams to defend.”
LaVine, who is currently playing for the Chicago Bulls, has been the subject of trade rumors in recent weeks. The Kings, who have been aggressive in their pursuit of talent, are reportedly one of the teams interested in acquiring LaVine’s services.
While it’s unclear whether the Kings will ultimately be able to land LaVine, Jones is convinced that he would be a perfect fit for the team’s offense. “LaVine would thrive in the Kings’ system,” Jones said. “He’d have the freedom to score, to create, and to make plays. And with Fox and Sabonis alongside him, the Kings would have a Big Three that could compete with anyone in the league.”
