Liverpool commentary Martin Keown says the Liverpool defender is now the best. Keown praised Liverpool’s Joe Gomez after the FA Cup tie. The Reds beat Arsenal 2-0 at home on Sunday. Jurgen Klopp’s men looked bored in the first half.
However, the police force put in an outstanding performance in the second half, scoring two goals before the final whistle. Joe Gomez was drafted in as a left-back, alongside young prospect Bukayo Saka.
Although he was slow in the first half, he was very effective in the second half. He said this in a speech on BBC One:”I think he is a special player. I’ve always been a big fan. A few years ago he suffered a serious injury. I think he’s back to his best. In a weird way, he came in, Tsimikas came out of that game a few weeks ago and broke his spine and he came out and was absolutely fantastic [against Arsenal].
Gomez is currently in good condition. Playing as full backs and center backs is not easy. “He has pace, he can play and I think he will make Saka strong today.”My English has not been the best in recent years.
But now it seems to be back to the way it was three years ago. There had been speculation that he would leave the club, but the equation now seems to be changing. His versatility in the backline is actually a key asset for Klopp, who has no full-backs. He played a key role in winning the Premier League and Champions League three years ago.
