Mikel Arteta has urged Arsenal fans to turn the Emirates into a hot pot against Liverpool.Jurgen Klopp did something similar to Anfield fans ahead of the Gunners’ pre-Christmas League trip, which ended 1-1.
As Arsenal look to make up for Klopp’s lack of top players this afternoon, Arteta insisted the fans will be needed to create an exciting atmosphere from the start.
That means you don’t have to wait to be excited about what’s happening on the pitch, you have to be intrigued by the stand itself. “We want the fans to play every ball with us and create a really active and positive atmosphere,” said the Gunners manager. “That’s how we make things difficult for Liverpool. I’m sure it will happen. The team should always move first and the audience should respond.
“But there are special moments and I think on Sunday they (the fans) should definitely be booing. It’s the way they watch the game, the way they sit in the stands, the way they interact with the people around them.
