The Egyptian King, who missed the Carabao Cup final due to injury, was on Kent Street yesterday (February 26), taking part in what appears to be either a remake or sequel of a previous commercial for Pepsi.

Footage shared of Salah on social media yesterday was quickly declared by cynics to be “old”, due to the set-up and clothing he is seen wearing being identical to that of a previous Pepsi commercial he featured in at the exact same location two years ago.

However, the Liverpool superstar was in fact filming in the city centre and, although Jurgen Klopp today said that he is “touch and go” to be involved in Wednesday’s FA Cup tie against Southampton, some Reds fans may take encouragement from their number 11 engaging in some exercise – albeit a light jog.

The 31-year-old could be seen sporting a blue tracksuit jacket with black jogging bottoms as he was chased by joggers and cyclists – a scene akin to the advert from 2021.

Salah has been a long-term ambassador of Pepsi, starring in several commercials for the drinks company, and just last year reunited with former best-pal and teammate Dejan Lovren to film for them.
