The Polish striker has scored six goals for Liverpool U21s this season. Mateusz Musialowski’s agent has admitted that Liverpool are looking for the youngster until his contract expires.
Musiarowski joined the Reds from Polish side SMS Łódź in 2020 after a trial spell with Arsenal that summer. In his country he is called the “Polish Messiah”. The 20-year-old forward has had a successful 2023/24 season so far.
He scored six goals and provided two assists in nine games for Liverpool Under-21s, including a stunning long-range strike in the 2-1 defeat to Barrow in the EFL Trophy.
However, despite playing at Anfield for over three years, Musialowski is yet to break into Jurgen Klopp’s first team. Players like Ben Doak and Kaide Gordon were the preferred options through the academy.
Musialowki almost joined Austrian Bundesliga side TSV Hartberg during the summer transfer window, but the deal fell through. His contract expires at the end of the season and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool will offer the Poland 21 international a new deal.
Musialowki’s agent, Sezary Kucharski, admitted in an interview with Polish newspaper Przegląd Sportowy that many clubs in his home country are keen on his client.
However, a move to Belgium or the Netherlands can be planned. Kucharski: “We signed a contract on the condition that we don’t convince him to return to Poland.
I don’t want to convince him to return to Poland, but he has the most offers from his country. Many clubs want him. “I think we should go to Holland, Belgium and Switzerland.”
