People are convinced that Trent Alexander-Arnold changed his toughest opponent during an interview

The Liverpool defender, 25, spoke on the PFA’s YouTube channel after winning the PFA Premier League Player of the Month award for December this week. He discussed a variety of topics, including his outstanding performances for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season and how he is adapting to an attacking role at Anfield. Alexander-Arnold also took 66 seconds to answer a few simple questions, including the last movie he saw, his favorite Drake song and the best cake ever. But what caught the most attention online was his response to a question about his fiercest rivals, with fans apparently mentioning Eden Hazard’s name before changing their minds.

Here’s how fans on social media reacted to Alexander-Arnold’s response:One person said: “Trent really meant danger. “Listen.” And another person said: “Lemao. He quickly changed his mind after seeing online debates between Liverpool and Chelsea fans about who was better between Hazard and Salah.”A third person wrote: “He meant Hazard but Liverpool fans don’t like that.”A fourth added: “Messi is definitely the GOAT but he played or attacked twice for Robertson’s side against Trent Barcelona.

Trent was unable to meet Messi in person. “Trent wanted to talk about Hazard.”There was also a video of Alexander-Arnold naming the former Chelsea striker as his toughest opponent in the Premier League. In an interview with Prime Video, he said: “Eden Hazard, yes. Probably the best for short distances.

Maybe [Kevin] De Bruyne, but against a direct opponent it should be Hazard.”The speed, agility, awareness and intelligence on and off the ball is unreal,” he added. However, the England international has been praising Lionel Messi for years. A year after Liverpool lost 3-0 in the first leg to Barcelona in their bid to reach the Champions League final, he called the Argentine “the best player alive” in an interview with GOAL.

“Messi sees everything faster than anyone else, he can read what the defender is doing and pass him as if he wasn’t there.”“It’s like playing against dummies. Messi has done unprecedented things for 15 years. He has no weaknesses. “I’ve never seen him do that, so he’s the best player.”He added: “Even if Messi doesn’t see you, you see him because he sees what you don’t.”
