Pep Guardiola sends emphatic Premier League title warning to Arsenal and Liverpool

Manager Pep Guardiola has confidently predicted that Manchester City will overcome recent difficulties and win an unprecedented fourth Premier League title.

The reigning champions have drawn their last three games against domestic opposition and had to overcome a 2-0 deficit to beat RB Leipzig in the Champions League a week ago.

City have conceded 10 goals in their last four games, including Sunday’s 3-3 draw with Tottenham. Tottenham, led by manager Guardiola, lost the lead twice and gave up the equalizer in the last minute.

Arsenal have the chance to temporarily go five points clear of City with a win against Luton tonight. Luton have won just once at home all season.

Guardiola’s men will have to do without midfield duo Jack Grealish and Rodri against Aston Villa tomorrow night, but regardless of the result, the City manager is adamant his side’s mistakes have been exaggerated.

“I never take advantage of situations like this, my motivation is just to try to get better,” Guardiola said in his pre-match press conference. “I learned that if you want to win something, you have to be much better than your opponent.
