Predicted Liverpool starting XI v Man City: New changes

Liverpool will face Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday at Anfield.

The Reds have taken a healthy eight-point lead over City in the title race, and a victory here will put them in a strong position.

City have failed to win in their last six games, losing five in a row, in all competitions, but Liverpool cannot take them lightly.

The Reds are heading into this game on the back of a 2-0 win against Real Madrid in the Champions League, and it is probably the best time to face Pep Guardiola’s side.

Goalkeeper

Alisson has returned to training, but he is still not fully fit. Caoimhin Kelleher, who saved Kylian Mbappe’s penalty in midweek, has been in outstanding form, and he should continue in goal against City.

Luckily for Liverpool, Trent Alexander-Arnold is fully fit again, and he is most likely to start at right-back.

Arne Slot could start with experienced Joe Gomez in central defence alongside Virgil van Dijk.

Kostas Tsimikas is also currently out injured, which means Andy Robertson should retain his place in the side.
