Notts Forest vs. Aston Villa (Sunday 2pm)
Nottingham Forest will be hoping to end their six-match winless run with a fourth straight win against Aston Villa at the City Ground on Sunday.
Tricky Tries lost 3-0 to Liverpool in their last Premier League game and Unai Emery’s side continued their excellent performance at home with a 3-1 win over Luton Town.
We say: Nottingham Forest 1-2 Aston Villa
Few teams have been able to match Forest’s attacking threat at the City Ground. Awoniyi should return and help kill Villa’s chances of conceding a free, but keeping Emery’s men at the other end is an entirely different matter. Forest’s flashy attack and Villa’s indifferent away record will make this a tougher task than the form book suggests, but the red-hot Lions forwards are expected to steer the visitors to an eighth in the new term. .
Luton vs. Liverpool (Sunday 4.30pm)
A fifth straight win in all competitions awaits Liverpool when they head to Kenilworth Road to take on Luton Town in Sunday’s Premier League clash.
The Reds beat Bournemouth 2-1 in the EFL Cup in midweek, while the Hatters were the latest victims of a 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa in the West Midlands.
We say: Luton Town 0-2 Liverpool
Despite having 10 men, free-scoring Tottenham managed to score a couple of goals at Kenilworth Road in their last stop at Luton, with the home side benefiting from a long recovery period.
But with well-rested first-team players ready to return to first-team action, Liverpool should give Luton another miserable afternoon for a fifth win on the trot.
