Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has admitted he got Liverpool wrong this season.
Ahead of today’s game against Manchester United, Redknapp admitted he expected Liverpool to be the only two teams to fight.
Redknapp wrote in The Sun: “If you’d told me a few months ago that one of them was competing for the title and the other was still fighting it wouldn’t have been the biggest shock.
“But I thought Manchester United would be in the mix and Liverpool would be in the top four. “Now, you can’t blame me. United finished third in Erik ten Hag’s first season, winning the Carabao Cup and reaching the FA Cup final.
“They looked like a club on the rise after a lot of false starts.“I really encouraged them to win. As a thrill seeker, this will never go down as one of my top tips!”
Anyone going through difficult times would put their money on Liverpool after so many changes and new faces.”
