Sadio Mané’s new wife Aisha Tamba, 18, says she is determined to remain humble and won’t be changed by the fame and wealth of her husband, who now plays in Saudi Arabia.
Sadio Mané’s new wife, Aisha Tamba, has spoken out for the first time since their arranged marriage. The 18-year-old married the former Liverpool star in a ceremony in Senegal that caused a stir online.
She is now preparing to move to Saudi Arabia with him, with Mané now plying his trade with Al-Nassr, where he plays alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. Aisha told the Mail Online through a relative: “I am looking forward to my new life and I know that it will be very different.
“But I do not feel any pressure because Sadio’s fame and money will not change me. This is not what I’m interested in. I will remain a humble person committed to my faith.”
She added: “I’m not used to having so much attention on me because we are a very private family. We don’t like to show off and speak about our personal lives.
“I am a very down-to-earth person, this is how I was raised, and nothing will be different just because of this marriage. But I’m very honored to now be Mrs Mané.”
Mané, who scored 120 goals for Liverpool, is currently in the Ivory Coast playing for Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations. He met Aisha through her father, and she will keep studying before moving in with Mané later this year.
