Sergio Aguero is a great praise from a player from Liverpool. Sergio Aguero is a Legend of Manchester City, but the Argentina striker has grown for Liverpool’s support, which hosted the club this weekend.
Aguero, who scored Manchester City’s most famous goal when they won their first Premier League title in 2012, has revealed why he supported the Anfield club as a child.
Aguero grew up in Argentina and wanted to become a professional footballer. It was inspired by Liverpool player Michael Owen.
Owen was a teenage pupil for club and country. His performances for Liverpool and England saw him win the Ballon d’Or in 2001 and Aguero is a big fan of the striker, who has represented Real Madrid and Manchester United.
“When I was young I loved Liverpool because I started playing as a teenager. “Even when I played on PlayStation, I tried to play as Owen,” Aguero told Steak.
“During my 10 years at City I had great performances with Liverpool. Even more so lately, fighting for the Premier League. I’ve scored some important goals, but I’ve never been able to score at Anfield.”
