Alan Shearer is unashamedly a huge Newcastle United fan, and this may have clouded his judgment a little over the Diogo Jota penalty incident.
“It was the most solid dive I’ve ever seen,” the 53-year-old told The Rest Is Football.
This is just some of the former striker’s thoughts on the story and it appears to have been greatly exaggerated, especially given its association with our number 20 shirt.
When you’re running with that kind of momentum, even the slightest touch can send a player down, but whether it’s exaggerated or not, it wasn’t the Portugal forward’s throw.
