Steven Gerrard stopped a pitch invader from being tackled by security after during a Liverpool Legends game.
The former Reds skipper was approached by a young supporter during the clash with Ajax Legends at Anfield on Saturday.
The fan was spotted running down the touchline, before coming on to the field.
He made a bee-line for Gerrard, causing stewards to quickly swoop in to try to rush him away.
The former Reds midfielder defused the situation with the security, though.
He appeared to stop staff from being too forceful with the pitch invader and seemingly told them to back off.
The fan then appeared to ask Gerrard if he could have a selfie.
Al Ettifaq’s manager smiled for the snap with the fan before security eventually escorted them from the pitch.
The Liverpool legend also provided an assist for the Reds’ second goal scored by Djibril Cisse after sending in a delicious free-kick.
The Reds were being managed by former England manager Sven Goran-Eriksson, and Gerrard shared a heartwarming moment with him before kick-off.
