Supercomputer predicts Liverpool place in final Premier League table compared to Man City

Liverpool’s impressive performance in the Premier League has caught the attention of football enthusiasts and experts alike. After the recent 3-0 victory over Brentford, a supercomputer has predicted that Liverpool will finish third in the league standings.

According to Betting Expert’s predictor, BETSiE, the Reds are expected to end the campaign approximately six points behind the eventual winner, Manchester City. Pep Guardiola’s side is projected to accumulate around 84 points, while Liverpool’s expected total is estimated to be around 78 points.

The highly anticipated clash between Man City and Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium after the international break will serve as a crucial test for Jürgen Klopp’s side. It will provide an opportunity for it to defy the supercomputer’s prediction and potentially surpass Man City as the frontrunner to be crowned champion of England.

Even if it falls short of securing the league title, a top-four finish would still represent significant progress for Klopp and his team. Last season, Liverpool failed to qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 2016. Therefore, reclaiming a spot among Europe’s elite clubs would be a commendable achievement.

According to the supercomputer’s calculations, Liverpool is expected to secure a place in the top four alongside Manchester City, Arsenal, and Newcastle United. Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur is predicted to miss out on Champions League qualification this season. The arrival of Ange Postecoglou has brought about positive changes at Tottenham, but injuries have posed a threat to its momentum, resulting in a projected seventh-place finish.

Aston Villa is tipped to narrowly miss out on a top-four spot and settle for fifth place, while Chelsea is expected to continue its progress under Mauricio Pochettino and finish sixth. Manchester United’s projected eighth-place finish represents a slight improvement compared to some previous predictors, which had it finishing ninth.

At the other end of the table, Sheffield United, Luton Town, and Burnley are predicted to be relegated to the Championship. All three teams gained promotion last season but are now facing the prospect of returning to the second tier of English football. Burnley, currently in 18th place, is projected to finish with just 28 points.

Here is the final predicted Premier League table according to the supercomputer:

Liverpool
Newcastle United
Aston Villa

Tottenham Hotspur
Manchester United
Brighton
