Tar Heels Add Elite Talent: This under-the-radar transfer has been a significant addition to the UNC basketball program thus far

Chapel Hill, NC – The University of North Carolina (UNC) basketball program has quietly made two massive additions to their roster, and the impact is already being felt! Jarin Stevenson, a 6’11” forward from Alabama, and Kyan Evans, a 6’2″ guard from Colorado State, have brought a spark to the Tar Heels that’s been missing for years.

Stevenson, a versatile big man with a 40″ vertical leap, has been a difference-maker on both ends of the court. His ability to stretch the defense with his three-point range (40% from beyond the arc last season) and anchor the paint defensively has been a game-changer. “Jarin’s athleticism and length are hard to find,” said head coach Hubert Davis. “He’s a true game-changer for us. His presence opens up so many possibilities for our offense, and he’s a rock on defense.”

Stevenson’s stats last season with Alabama were impressive: 11.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game. He’s a true matchup nightmare, able to guard anyone from the post to the perimeter. And with his shooting ability, he’s a threat from anywhere on the court.

Evans, a sharpshooter with a 42% three-point clip, has brought a new level of creativity to the point guard position. His ability to create for himself and others has opened up new possibilities for the Tar Heels’ offense. “Kyan’s a natural leader and a true point guard,” said Davis. “He’s helped us win some big games already, and we’re excited to see what he can do in the future.” Evans’ numbers from last season with Colorado State are equally impressive: 13.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game. He’s a true floor general, able to run the offense with ease and make plays for his teammates.

Together, Stevenson and Evans have formed a dynamic duo that’s getting the Tar Heels buzzing. “These guys are special,” said senior forward R.J. Davis. “They’ve brought a new energy to our team, and we’re excited to see what they can do. We’re gonna make some noise in the ACC this season, and these two are gonna be a big reason why.”

The Tar Heels’ chemistry is already clicking, and Stevenson and Evans are a huge reason why. They’re a team to watch in the ACC this season, and potentially, the NCAA Tournament. Stay tuned – this is going to be a wild ride!
