Team news: Three changes for Liverpool for the cup competition.

 

Mikel Arteta decided to make three changes to his side against Liverpool in the FA Cup third round with Reiss Nelson starting.

Aterul comes on for Gabriel Martinelli as Kai Havertz steps up. Jorginho took Germany’s usual midfield position and Aaron Ramsdale nodded in goal.

Eddie Nketiah was dropped to the bench along with David Raya, while Gabriel Jesus missed the matchday squad with a minor knee problem.

Liverpool made four changes to the team that beat Newcastle United on New Year’s Day. Virgil van Dijk was left out of the matchday squad, with Jarrell Quansah in the center of defence.

Harvey Elliott, Cody Gakpo and Alexis McAllister were in the starting lineup, while Dominic Szoboslai was injured and Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo were left out of the national squad call-up.
