Jurgen Klopp is a ‘true master’ and can take advantage of any situation and deserves credit for doing so again this season for Liverpool.
That’s according to Sky Germany’s Rene Adler, who praised the Liverpool manager ahead of today’s game against Manchester City.
The Reds travel to the Etihad this afternoon for the biggest game of the weekend, with the Premier League leaders taking on the team currently closest to them.Manchester City leads the table with 28 points from 12 games so far, but Liverpool is a close second with 27 points from 12 games.
It was a return to within four points of the top four and the Champions League for Jurgen Klopp and his side, who suffered last season and finished fifth.
It was a significant drop for a side that finished second a year ago, just a point behind Manchester City, and have regularly challenged for the title in recent years.
This year’s momentum will build on the changes made in the summer as Klopp and his team look to completely rebuild the midfield with a host of signings following the departures of Fabinho, Jordan Henderson and James Milner.
And Adler believes the German coach deserves credit for managing other issues such as injuries and off-field drama. “Jurgen Klopp and Manchester United overcame a period of weakness and injury to climb back into second place at a stressful time,” he said.”Klopp is a master of the ability to make the most of a given situation.
For years he stabbed the cane between his legs, but it had no effect.“For example, this season we have Andy Robertson’s long-term injury and the kidnapping drama involving Luis Diaz’s parents.
What you have to say is Shapo. Klopp is a master at dealing with situations in life. “It’s amazing for the team and for me,” he said.
