The Liverpool v Newcastle squad has been confirmed: 4 changes due to the return of Luis Diaz

Jurgen Klopp has made four changes for today’s Premier League trip to Newcastle United. Luis Diaz and Dominic Szoboslai return to the starting lineup.
The Reds will be looking to go top of the table at Anfield after beating Burnley 2-0 on Boxing Day. Arsenal lost 2-1 at Fulham on New Year’s Eve and although third-placed Manchester City have a game in hand, the Reds have the chance to go three points clear of second.

It was no surprise that Klopp picked a strong starting line-up for Liverpool’s last Premier League game until January 21, making four substitutions against Turf Moor. Liverpool’s starting lineup against Newcastle

Alisson will keep his place in the starting line-up and is likely to be called upon more often against the Planters, while Ibrahima Konate will return to partner Virgil van Dijk in the Brazil international.Trent Alexander-Arnold will be hoping for a more productive outing than the upset against Newcastle, while Joe Gomez will return at left-back in place of the injured Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas.

There were two changes in last match against Burnley. As Curtis Jones and Dominic Szoboszlai replaced Harvey Elliott and Ryan Gravenburch. Wataru Endo will play his last match before the Asian Cup. Mohamed Salah will also go to the Africa Cup of Nations after visiting Newcastle, but will again start at right-back.

Luis Diaz returned on the left for Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunes led the way with a stunning goal against the Clarets. The good news for Liverpool is that Alexis McAllister is back on the bench after almost a month, while Diogo Jota, Gakpo, Elliott and Gravenburch could feature.
