Tony Cascarino has named Dominic Szoboszlai as one of the Premier League’s surprise players this season after he joined Liverpool this summer.
The TalkSport pundit was full of praise for the 23-year-old Reds midfielder, who has been a revelation for Jurgen Klopp’s side since arriving at Anfield.
Szoboszlei joined Liverpool for £60million this summer and Cascarino has hailed the Hungary international as one of the Premier League’s biggest surprises.
Cascarino: “I’ll probably go to Liverpool for Szoboslai.” There is definitely abuse here. But I think there’s more to it than they realize. “I think they knew he was an attacking midfielder with very good speed.
I think he really set a new standard when he came to Liverpool. Do not forget. This midfielder has completely disappeared.
“Liverpool needed to rebuild. “I thought he arrived and from the first game I thought he would be a great player for Liverpool for the next five or six years.”
