Thierry Henry still believes Manchester City will win the Premier League title this season, over his former club Arsenal and Liverpool.
Mikel Arteta’s men continued their exceptional run of form with a 6-0 win at Bramall Lane last night.
The victory saw Arsenal close the gap to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side to just two points with 11 games left to play.
The Gunners are just a point behind Manchester City, with Liverpool currently leading the way.
Pep Guardiola’s men also picked up a comfortable 3-1 victory over Manchester United on Sunday while the Reds left it late at Nottingham Forest.
And despite picking up seven consecutive wins in the Premier League, Thierry Henry still believes City will lift the title over Arsenal.
Henry claims City are still ‘the team to beat’
Speaking on Monday Night Football after Arsenal thrashed Sheffield United last night, Henry delivered his verdict on the title race.
“We all know where my heart will go I want Arsenal to win the league, but I still think City are the team to beat,” the Gunners legend said.
At this moment in time, Arsenal are undoubtedly the most in-form side in the league. Arteta’s men have netted a staggering total of 31 goals in their last seven wins.
But question marks remain over whether Arsenal can maintain this kind of form during the business end of the campaign.
As for Liverpool, they continue to pick up positive results and face a huge clash against City at Anfield this weekend.
There are some huge games to come as Arsenal also face a tough trip to the Etihad Stadium later this month.
It looks set to be a memorable race for the crown this year, with three top sides firmly in the hunt for the title.
It’s difficult to look past City as they so often find their best form at the right time. But Arsenal are showing no signs of slowing down and Liverpool will be desperate to deliver domestic success in what is Klopp’s last few months at the club.
