CJ Rosser, the No. 2-ranked junior in the country, lit up the John Wall Holiday Invitational, hitting 1,000 career points and showcasing his unstoppable skills! The 6’10” forward from Rocky Mount, North Carolina, wizzed through defenders with ease, including a mind-blending coast-to-coast spin move and scoop layup that left the crowd ROARING. Rosser’s impressive play follows an unofficial visit to UNC, where he was walled-to-wall impressed by the Tar Heels’ pace and teamwork. With offers pouring in, CJ’s decision on where to play is heating up!
Rosser’s stats are ridiculous – 1,000+ career points, unstoppable post game, and elite-level athleticism. He averaged 20+ points and 10+ rebounds this season, and was named to the John Wall Holiday Invitational All-Tournament Team. His teammate, Obinna Ekezie Jr., also had a solid game, and both are considered top prospects in the class of 2027. UNC is definitely in the mix, but so are other top programs.
Coach Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels are eager to land Rosser, who’d instantly become a game-changer for the program. With his size, skill, and work ethic, CJ’s got all the tools to dominate in college ball. He’s got a tough decision ahead, but UNC’s got a strong chance. Rosser’s been clear about wanting a program that prioritizes player development and gets him the ball in crunch time.
The Tar Heels are hoping to land Rosser and make a deep run in the ACC and NCAA Tournament. With Rosser on board, UNC’s got a legit chance to make some noise. Stay tuned for updates on this top recruit!
